Cardiff Sports Massage Therapy
Sports Massage and Soft Tissue therapy are key in the repair, rehabilitation and maintenance of our bodies, whether involved in sport or not. Due to stresses of modern day life, such as sitting at a desk in front of a computer or in a car for hours as well as endless phone and tablet activity, our bodies are being tested to the max – and to be able to deal with these problems we need to look after our bodies. I set up my Cardiff massage practice to help with these problems.
SPORTS MASSAGE helps to treat injury, pain and soreness caused by doing sport or strenuous physical activity, minimises the risk of injury, speeds up recovery and improves quality of training and performance. The more sport we do, the more demands we put on our body. Recognition of adverse muscular and neural tension is important during the demanding times of training. Applied skilfully, this treatment releases muscle tension and increases the blood flow through the body, allowing it to heal which significantly improves recovery times. Equally important, by restoring balance to the musculoskeletal system, it allows you to train more effectively and safely. Sport is my passion and helping people get back to full fitness or help them achieve their goals gives me great satisfaction. My Cardiff sports massage clinic has this at its heart.
REMEDIAL MASSAGE helps to combat occupational, emotional and postural stresses, relaxes tight muscles, relieves pain and reduces stress. Different from a relaxation massage, this massage is firmer to allow for deep soft tissue treatment, which has a more powerful remedial affect. By reducing tensions in the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia, this treatment will seek to relieve the body of pain, allowing you to get on with your day to day life more productively.
Massage Therapy can be beneficial for all the above reasons, and amongst others, may be used to address the following disorders/issues:
